My prayers were answered today. I was in a meeting where the topic of conversation was about to slip into disparaging comments about other employees. I was about to slip into my habit of joining in on the negative remarks. Just as I was starting to catch my tongue, a dragonfly appeared at the window and bumped into it several times getting my attention. (I was in an office on the 4th floor of a building in downtown Boston. Not a typical dragonfly hangout.) I thanked the dragonfly for the reminder and made a positive remark. While the conversation continued to hinge on the negative edge for a while, I was able to make a couple more positive remarks and then the person I was talking with changed to positive remarks, too.

Thanks again for the reminder! Please continue to help me keep my comments positive and my heart open to compassion.

The Highest Self is within us all. It reigns supreme. It is God made manifest and is both within the order of traditional Christianity and within the order of more contemporary thought.

The Highest Self is of different names in different religions yet it is best understood outside of religion. It is the MOST INTIMATE aspect of being made flesh.

It is God. Nothing less than that.

"Be still and know that I AM GOD"

To define Highest Self is not within the scope of the human mind. However it is within the scope of the human reach. It is beyond opinion and outside of belief. It is That Which is spoken of in the I AM.

Thank you for your postings. Thank you for allowing all voices to become One.

I think we are all looking for our Highest Self even if we don't know about what we are searching. Our finding anything e.g. money, name & fame will satisfy temporerily. Only our highest self can satisfy permanently.
Of course, our highest self is simple. But we all have so many delusions and it takes very long time for our consciousness to arise above these delusions and reach the point to search highest self earnestly.

Thanks for the comment, Leon. It has made me think.

I believe that we are all one. Maybe our connecting points -- the points where the oneness is most visible -- is our highest selves.

Looking back at this post, I'm no longer surprised that the list is so short. I think our highest selves are simple. They are love. The items on my list simply describe love in action. That could look different for others because they may express love in different ways. But, in some ways, it may look the same.
